As part of our journey toward large-scale deployment, Tooloo is launching its first industrial pilot project, a solar thermal farm built entirely on our proprietary collector technology. In this phase, 20 solar collectors will be deployed and integrated to deliver high-temperature thermal energy in the form of hot oil heated to 250°C.
The system works by circulating thermal oil through a series of receivers, each capturing concentrated solar energy. This energy is then stored in an insulated hot oil tank, creating a reliable and controllable thermal output suitable for industrial use, including manufacturing, food processing, and steam generation.
The goal of this 12-month pilot project is to validate Tooloo’s performance under real-world conditions, both technically and financially. By gathering operational data, efficiency, durability, heat output, and cost-effectiveness, we aim to refine the system design and prepare it for full commercial rollout.
This pilot marks a crucial step in demonstrating that Tooloo’s scalable, passive solar tracking technology can provide clean, affordable, and high-temperature heat for industrial clients, offering a sustainable alternative to fossil-fuel-based systems.
